Joanne M. Starcher, age 67, of Fredonia, NY passed away Thursday morning (Sept. 19, 2013) at the
Lake Shore Health Care Center in Irving, NY. She was born January 2, 1946 in Gowanda, NY, the
daughter of the late Orval and Florence (King) Silleman.

Joanne held various jobs throughout her years but the most important was wife and mother. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fredonia Beaver Club where she once served as president. She was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan. Joanne enjoyed playing bingo, pinochle and spending time with friends and family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was
not only a mother to her two children, but to many of their friends as well. If anyone needed anything
she was there to help however she could.
Joanne was married for 33 years to Ronald Starcher, and was the beloved mother of Kevin (Jennifer)
Starcher of Brocton, NY and Christine (John) North of Westfield, NY. She was the beloved grandmother of
Brittany Pryll and John North Jr. She is survived by her sister Alice Martin of Alleghany, NY along with
two brothers, Charles (Joan) Silleman of South Dayton, Frank (Mary Ann) Silleman of Orchard Park
and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by three sisters, Emma Cannon, Betty Bartelo and Irene Rizzo and her brother Billy Silleman. A memorial service followed by a luncheon will be
held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 23 at the Fredonia Beaver Club, 64 Prospect St., Fredonia, NY. In
lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chautauqua County HOSPICE Association in her memory.
