PERRYSBURG - Dorothy A. Ivett, 69, of Perrysburg, NY passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Buffalo General Hospital.
She was born Nov. 11, 1943 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Norman and Doris (Parker) Seneca.
On September 16, 1978 she married Roy Ivett who survives.
Mrs. Ivett was employed at JN Adam for 33 years as a therapy aide and programmer.
She was a member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Wolf Clan. She also was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Irving, NY.
Besides her husband of 35 years, she is survived by a son, Ernest (Lorrie) Stebbins of Gowanda, NY and a stepson, Scott (Marie) Ivett of Lexington, SC; five grandchildren Raymond, Alfred, Rachelle, Danielle and Jennifer; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Sheila Bailey; and 2 brothers, John Parker and Donald Seneca.
Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main Street in Gowanda, NY on Sunday Sept. 29, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Irving, NY.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Association.
