Stella M. Worczak, 97, of Dunkirk died Tuesday morning (Oct. 1, 2013) at the Chautauqua County Home in Dunkirk.
She was born July 15, 1916 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Andrew and Frances (Ziarno) Opacinch.
A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Mrs. Worczak had been employed by the Van Raalte Company and St. Vincent's Home.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and its Ladies Guild.
Survivors include one son, Joseph A. (Marilyn) Worczak of Dunkirk; one grandson, Joseph M. (Susan) Worczak of Dunkirk; and three great grandsons, Joseph C., Brendan, and Lucas Worczak.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Worczak; two sisters; and three brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass which will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
