Rummage sale at Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church
The Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church is holding a rummage sale on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a bag sale and a bake sale.
23rd annual 'Harvest is Plentiful Concert'
St. Joseph Church will host the 23rd Annual "The Harvest is Plentiful Concert" on Sunday, at 6 p.m. in the church at 145 E. Main St., Fredonia.
The concert is a joint effort of SS Columba/Brigid Roman Catholic Church's Gospel Choir from Buffalo, under the direction of Lynda Martin and St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church's Voice and Handbell Choirs from Fredonia, under the direction of Lucy Hurley.
The concert promises to be a very energetic, uplifting and fun-filled evening for the whole family. It is a kid-friendly performance. All are invited and admission is free.
UUCNC speakers will share Day of the Dead traditions
On Nov. 3, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua members Chris and Karen Taverna will share their family's tradition of celebrating The Day of the Dead. This is a multi-generation service and all are invited to attend.
Professional child care is available in the Caterpillar Room for children birth to 5 years of age.
Worship services are held each Sunday at 11 a.m. in the Grange Hall, 58 W. Main St. Fredonia.
Dinners planned at Trinity Lutheran
Trinity Lutheran Church in Silver Creek will hold its annual Harvest Dinner on Sunday, Nov. 3. at 5 p.m.. This fellowship dinner is sponsored by the Ladies Guild and features a traditional turkey dinner. A freewill offering will be taken which will benefit the Silver Creek volunteer Emergency Squad. Continuing the November theme of "Thanks be to God", a Thanksgiving Eve worship service with communion will be held at 5 p.m. on Nov. 27. Rev. Travis Grubbs will officiate. Congregation members are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items for the Silver Creek Food Pantry. The church is located at 15 Porter Avenue.
Faith-based Diabetic Support
The Faith-based Diabetic Support group of Silver Creek will hold a special meeting on Sunday, Nov. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Silver Creek Assembly of God at 1385 Route 20. This group encourages those who are pre-diabetic, type 1 or type 2 diabetics as well as those interested in weight loss and a healthier life style. The featured speaker is Ann Klein of West Seneca. Klein is a registered dietician and a certified diabetic educator. She will discuss portion control, the importance of fiber in one's daily diet and Ketosis. Dinner for first responders and peace officers
On Nov. 9, an appreciation dinner for first responders and peace officers will be held at the Chautauqua Suites. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. and there is a leadership seminar from 2 to 5 p.m. for anyone interested in attending. The guest speaker is Col. Danny McKnight who was a ground troop leader in Mogadishu, Somalia (Black Hawk Down). Any first responder or peace officer interested in attending, call 490-3300. There is no cost for the event as the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers and the following churches have sponsored the event - Lakewood Baptist, Busti Church of God, Levant Wesleyan, First Baptist of Westfield, Westfield Ministerial Assoc, Christ First United Methodist, and Bemus Point United Methodist.
Glory River Riders
The Glory River Riders Chapter of The Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) will conduct its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18 in the Sinclairville Fire Hall. All are welcome.
CMA is a non-profit, interdenominational organization, dedicated to reaching people for Christ through motorcycling. Established in 1975 and headquartered in Arkansas, CMA is a worldwide ministry designed to spread the light of Jesus.
The vision of CMA is: "Changing the world, one heart at a time" and is accomplished through evangelistic outreach to the motor-cycling community.
Additionally, CMA partners with world-reaching ministries and equips its members with ministry training while promoting a servant's attitude.
The mission of CMA is to inspire its members to be the most organized, advanced, equipped, financially stable organization, full of integrity in the motorcycling industry and the Kingdom of God.

Meat Loaf Dinner at St. John's United
St. John's United Church of Christ on Central Avenue in Dunkirk will host a meatloaf dinner on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $7.50 per person presale, and $8 at the door. To reserve tickets, call 366-0710.
