COLLINS - There will be one less familiar face on the Collins Town Board. Councilman Robert Gaylord announced his resignation from the board.
Gaylord submitted a letter to Supervisor David Tessmer citing his new role as executive director of Erie County Water Authority as a reason for resignation. Tessmer read the letter at the meeting.
"While this is not a conflict, it might be deemed a distraction. Therefore I believe it appropriate and timely to tender my resignation as town councilman ..." the letter stated.
