A giving spirit continues to flourish in Forestville.
Last week, its elementary school held its fifth annual "Bald for Bucks" and "Locks of Love" event. In all, 36 students took part and raised some $5,684.
That's a tremendous amount for such a small district. "It's amazing to see how much kids really give into the program and the support they get from their friends and family to come out here and shave their heads in support for cancer research," said Jay Josker of the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo.
In the aftermath, a number of Forestville students are now short on hair but the results prove they have plenty of heart.
