The Chautauqua County Rural Ministry, Inc. was the recipient of 25 hand-made (quilting machine and hand sewn) quilts to be given out to families during Christmas.
The quilts were made by approximately 100 quilters from the Westfield Quilters Guild, who distributed 135 quilts to six different charitable agencies. Quilters get together every Thursday night at 7 p.m. in Westfield at the Methodist Church. They always welcome new members.
Chautauqua County Rural Ministry Executive Director Kathleen G. Peterson said that the quilts were such a blessing to the organization and will be given out to children, the elderly and those who may have a medical condition.

"Each quilt has a label saying 'Stitched with Love for you by the Westfield Quilters' Guild New York,' and it is definitely reflected in the intricacy of each quilt. They are perfectly made and will last many years," she said.
