The recently formed Complete Streets Task Force in the village of Fredonia will meet on Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. on the second floor of the village hall.
The purpose of the meeting will be to: Briefly review existing bicycle, pedestrian and other transportation-related recommendations in the proposed Comprehensive Plan; identify what transportation elements relating to Complete Streets will need to be addressed separately in a village Complete Streets policy/ordinance/resolution; and determine the next steps, such as outreach to residents and elected officials and research of sample policies.
All residents of the village interested in the Complete Streets Program are welcome to attend.
Complete Streets is a community streets and sidewalks design approach that enables getting around town safely for various means of transportation.
This includes pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities.
