SINCLAIRVILLE - The Valley Minstrels of the Cassadaga Valley Central School recently sang a medley of Christmas songs for the Sinclairville Senior Citizens. The musical program under the direction of Joe Braeger sang the holiday songs for the group's entertainment, and concluded with a humorous song "Santa Claus, Santa Claus, you are much too fat." Braeger said that the group has been meeting and rehearsing songs since October. A fine performance was enjoyed by all.
President of the senior group, Diman Smith opened the meeting with a welcome, and past president Elaine Palmer-Titus gave the blessings and remembered those who are standing in need. The meal included ham provided by Diman and LouAnn Smith, with mashed potatoes provided by president-elect Marge McIntyre. Ivory Fishgold helped with the serving of the ham. All those attending brought a dish of food to add to the meal, and the desserts were plenty. A wonderful meal was enjoyed by all.
Treasurer Claudia Wittenbrook gave the financial report, and secretary John Sipos read the minutes of the previous meeting, and conducted the drawings of prizes. Three Christmas gifts were given to each in attendance by John and Susan Sipos. The birthday song was sung to member Beverly Higgs and the anniversary song was sung to Allen and Beverly Higgs. Thanks goes to sunshine chairman Betty Wielgasz for sending cards to members.
