Anthony L. Damico, 77, of East Aurora, NY, died Dec. 11, 2013 with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Tony was born Nov. 13, 1936 and was raised in Silver Creek, NY, the son of the late Dominic and Leona (Hatch) Damico.
He owned and operated the Silver Creek 5 & 10 for many years and also worked in the "auto" industry selling cars at Catalano Motors in Angola and at Pierce Auto for many years.
Tony was a Marine who proudly served his country. His pride and joy were his family and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Helen (Pat) Damico, and his daughters Melissa Damico of Clymer, NY, and Melinda (Dan) Damico Fries of New Jersey. Also surviving are stepchildren Sue (Jim) Matteson Kahabka of Silver Creek and Bill (Sherrie) Buchholz of Key West, Fla.; grandchildren Julie Rice of Silver Creek, Aubrey Metzger of Oklahoma and Billy, Lauren and Megan Buchholz of Silver Creek; and great-grandchildren Andrew and Autumn Rice and Dre Metzger.
Tony is also survived by his twin brother Dominic, Sister Frances (Edward) Jezioro of Angola, Myrta (Louis) Catalano of Angola and Mary (Rich) Polarisk of Dunkirk, as well as many nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to any Veterans Organization.
