Craig Allen Damon, 63, of Main Street, Brocton, NY, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 14, 2013, at his home after an extended illness.
He was born in Jamestown, NY, on April 12, 1950 and was the son of the late Milton and Agnes Trombly Damon. He was raised in Cassadaga, NY, and then moved to Brocton, where he spent the remainder of his life.
He graduated from Brocton Central School and also was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served his country in the United States Army. Craig's usual occupation was as a self-employed laborer working in the gas fields well tending, working for the various grape farmers in the area, and he also worked as a semi-truck driver.
Craig is survived by one son, Brandon Damon of Riverview, Fla.; one grandson and two granddaughters; two brothers, Gary Damon of South Dayton, NY, and Jerry Damon of Conn.; three sisters, Pam Cole, Debbie Trulove, both of North Carolina, and Terry Rolls of Ohio. Craig is also survived by his loving companion of 23 years Jesse Bomberry of Brocton.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Brenner Paul Purell.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family. Funeral arrangements were provided by the Morse Funeral Home of Brocton.
