Santa arrived in Cassadaga riding on the village fire truck to visit with the boys and girls on Sunday afternoon during the snow and cold temperature. Santa's schedule is pretty busy this time of the year, but he found time to ride the Cassadaga Volunteer Fire Department truck to the village park at the four corners for a short time to talk with the boys and girls, and their families. Santa did not want to bring along his reindeer, because they are saving their strength for the big night on Christmas Eve. Shown in the photograph next to the firetruck is the Wichlacz family with Santa in the chair. Hot chocolate and a variety of homemade cookies were the treats waiting at the Cassadaga Branch Library building, where a warm room was also a welcome place.
