The Dunkirk boys and girls indoor track teams set a few new school records on Saturday at the Small School Division Relays, which were held at the Fredonia State Field House in Steele Hall.
In the girls' events, the sprint medley relay team of Faith Rivera, Samantha Hemenger, Emilee Hanlon and Calan Pogorzelski broke the old school record of 4:56.8 by finishing the race in a time of 4:46.9.
Pictured at top is Dunkirk’s 4x200-meter relay team, which set a new school record last week. The team consisted of Rashad Graham, Jose Morales, Miguel Alicea and Nick Barlette. The four finished the race in 1:39.44. The old record was 1:39.9 and was set in 2011.

Rivera ran the 400 meters, Hemenger and Hanlon 200 meters and Pogorzelski 800.
The old record was set in 2002 by Karly Benamati, Dawn Collins, Victoria Kuzara and Melissa Thomas.
Also setting a new school record was Amancia Viera, who competed in the shot put. Viera's throw of 33-feet, 9-inches broke Lucy Warmbrodt's record of 32-11, which was set in 2008.
In the 55 hurdles, Rivera finished in 10.58 seconds while Savia Moreland took fifth in a time of 10.70. The 4x200 relay team of Pogorzelski, Hemenger, Rivera and Hanlon took second in a time of 2:01.8 while the double 4x160 relay team took fifth place in a time of 3:37.6. Moreland, Ashley Olrogg, Natalie Nytz and Pogorzelski made up the quartet.
Crystal Muller had a toss of 23-8 in the shot put, which combined with Viera's throw helped the tandem place third.
In the boys' events, Dunkirk placed second behind Cheektowaga, with the 4x800 relay team of Ray Tarnowski, Ethan Francis, Alec Tomaszewski and Javier Soto taking first in a time of 9:27.3.
Also placing first for the Marauders was the 4x200 relay team and the distance medley relay team.
The 4x200 team consisted of Rashad Graham, Jose Morales, Tim Cerrie and Tarnowski. The quartet crossed the finish line in a time of 1:41.3 while the distance medley relay team of Francis (1,200), Tarnowski (400), Tomaszewski (800) and Soto (1,600) finished in a time of 11:51.7.
In other events, Graham won the high jump with his height of 5-10 and Cerrie placed second in the pole vault with his height of 10 feet.
Meanwhile, the double 4x160 relay team took third in a time of 3:03.7. Elijah Rivera, Jamal Rivera, Alex Montalban and Julio Cheverez made up that team while the sprint medley relay team, which consisted of Morales (400), Rivers (200), Kelvin Valentine (200) and Tom Logan (800) placed fifth in a time of 4:20.9.
Also for the Marauders, the duo of Dominic Hitchcock (34-1) and Lucas Mets (30-9) took fifth in the shot put while Ben Tarnowski and Jack Wong placed sixth in the 1,600.
The teams return to action on Jan. 4, at Fredonia State.
