CCIDA seeking Clymer proposals

County Planning Board's monthly meeting Tuesday
The Chautauqua County Planning Board's monthly meeting will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency's Office at 200 Harrison St. in Jamestown.

Cherry Creek Fire District board meets Wednesday
The Board of Commissioners of the Cherry Creek Fire District will hold its organizational meeting on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at the fire hall. As with all meetings of the district, the public is welcome to attend.
Snowmobilers urged to check on trails
Snowmobilers are urged to stay off trails while they are closed. Please remember that it is illegal for anybody to ride on any snowmobile trails when they are closed.
Anybody riding when trails are closed can be charged with trespass and/or have their sleds impounded.
Snowmobilers can call for trail conditions and events at 1-800-242-4569, dial 2, then press 5.
Foster parent informational meeting Tuesday
The Chautauqua County Department of Social Services will be hosting an informational meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Jamestown Community College North County Training Center, Bennett Road, Dunkirk, for those interested in learning more about becoming a foster parent.
Foster parents are needed for children of all ages and those willing to accept sibling groups.

Registration is open for ice skating classes at SUNY Fredonia
Ice skating classes are being offered at SUNY Fredonia's Steele Hall. Beginner skaters and advanced skaters are welcome.
Classes run for 10 weeks, and there are two different series to choose from. Sunday afternoon classes at 1 p.m. started Sunday. Tuesday night classes at 6:15 p.m. start Jan. 14.

Vendor tables available at upcoming Dunkirk Senior Center rummage/bake sale
Plans are being made for an indoor rummage/bake sale to be held at the Dunkirk Senior Center on Feb. 15.
Vendor tables can be rented for $15 by contacting Dunkirk Senior Citizen Board of Directors President Barbara Bajdas at the Center at 366-7530.
Pinochle canceled at both Dunkirk Seniors, Dom Polski
This afternoon's pinochle games at the Dunkirk Senior Center normally held at 1 p.m. has been canceled.
This evening's games at Dom Polski have also been canceled.
'We Interrupt This Week' to appear on Access Channel 5
"We Interrupt This Week" is a broadcast produced through a collaboration of two classes at SUNY Fredonia - the TV news production class and the news-gathering journalism class. Featured guest is John Murphy, a western New York native and voice of the Buffalo Bills.
The program will air on Access Channel 5 at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. each day beginning on Saturday with the last airing on Jan. 17.
Access Channel 5 is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Sherman and Westfield areas.
Viewers should note that all area public access channels have been dropped from Time Warner's analog service, but can be received on digital service with a converter at their legacy channel assignment, or on a QAM digital television (channel varies by system) that has been recently autoscanned. Programming from Access Channel 5 (channel 21.4 on a QAM digital TV) is also aired each evening in the town of Hanover on cable channel 12 (channel 98.3 on a QAM digital TV).
