Lorron G. Caryl, born Oct. 14, 1915 in Rochester, NY, son of Roy and Chris-tine Caryl passed away on Jan. 2, 2014 at Hospice Care Center Orange City, Fla.
He was a 1939 graduate of the University of Rochester, Lieutenant U.S. World War II, retired President Business and Industry Group of Interstate United Corporation and retired Director of Finance Chautauqua County, New York and a member of Deltona Library Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Meredith Jane Tallman Caryl and his second wife Doris Bonnell Caryl.
He is survived by his daughter Donna Caryl Pocock of Orange City, Flori-da; his son James Caryl of Virginia Beach, Virginia; six granddaughters, one grandson and their spouses, 12 great grandchildren; his sister Kay of Martinsburg, West Virginia; nieces, nephews and their spouses; 5 stepchildren and their families.
He enjoyed playing golf, scrabble, and reading.
He has donated his body to the University of Central Florida.
