Mary Kate Malikowski and Tucker C. Patnode exchanged wedding vows on Oct. 19, 2013, at the University of Buffalo Newman Center in Amherst. Monsignor Patrick Keleher officated at the double ring ceremony. Tom Johnson provided guitar music. Tom Malikowski, brother of the bride, and Mike Gaskill, friend of the groom gave the readings. The chapel was adorned in fall colors, using pumpkins and candles as decor.
The bride is the daughter of Joe and Sandy Malikowski of Fredonia and the granddaughter of Frank and Mary Mirek of Dunkirk. The groom is the son of Ed Patnode and Bobbie Clapsaddle of Clarence.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a sleeveless, pearl colored Ella Bridal gown. The satin A-line gown featured beading and ruching and was complemented with a chapel length train and corseted back. She wore a handmade lace veil with beads and ribbons from her grandmothers' wedding dresses. She wore her mother's pearls around her neck, and custom designed blue running shoes. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of mango calla-lilies wrapped in a sleeve from her mother's wedding dress.

Sara Malikowski of Buffalo, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Haley Mirek of Dunkirk, cousin of the bride, Michelle Anderson, Breana Geiss and Shaina Ng. The bridesmaids wore black strapless cocktail dresses and carried small bouquets of mango calla-lilies.
Justin Kennedy, friend of the groom, served as the best man. Dan Dietz, Brian Hohl, Steve Young, and Mike Young served as groomsmen.
The couple celebrated with friends and family at the Pearl Street Grill in Buffalo. The bridal party was introduced to the gathering by a Scottish bagpiper.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Fredonia High School and a 2008 graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology. She is employed by FedEx in Buffalo as a web developer. The groom is a 2002 graduate of Clarence High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Buffalo. He is employed by Praxair in Tonawanda as an engineer.
The couple plan a spring honeymoon in the Pacific Northwest which will include a cruise of Alaska. The newlyweds now reside in their Tonawanda home.
