Kari Tarnowski and Jeffrey Potter, Jr. were united in marriage Aug. 10, 2013 at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church in Brocton. The Rev. Joseph Walter officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Cynthia Erdle of Dunkirk and Brian Tarnowski of Brocton. The groom is the son of Kelley and Jeffrey Potter, Sr. of Westfield.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore an embellished, strapless ball gown by Sophia Tolli and a crystal trimmed veil. Music was provided by Lucy Hurley. Caroline Johnson, godmother of the bride, and Dylan Murphy, cousin of the groom, were responsible for the readings.
Riley Eckert of Astoria, N.Y. served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Jennifer Potter of Westfield, sister of the groom; Megan Smith of Richardson, Texas; Carlyn Petrella of Washington D.C.; Reina (Nurnberger) Anderson of Durham, Maine; and Melinda Tubbs of Rochester, all friends of the bride.

Kevin Rose of Dunkirk served as best man. Ushers included Brandon Tarnowski of Brocton, brother of the bride; Joseph Eckstrom of Dunkirk, Scott Jagoda of Brocton, Christopher Waclawski of Buffalo and Anthony Quagliana of Fredonia, all friends of the groom.
A reception at the Kosciuszko Polish Home followed the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Brocton Central School and earned a bachelor's degree from St. Bonaventure University in modern languages in 2009 and a master's degree in adolescence education in 2010. She is currently employed as a Spanish teacher at Dunkirk Middle School.
The groom is a graduate of Brocton Central School and earned a bachelor's degree in business management from SUNY Fredonia in 2011. He is currently employed as co-manager of 84 Lumber in Kennedy.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun before returning to their home in Dunkirk.
