Peggy H. Kolasa of Dunkirk, NY passed away peacefully Thursday morning, January 16, 2014.
She was born November 4, 1943 in Kimball, WV, and was the daughter of the late Oscar and Georgia Honaker.
A 1963 graduate of Dunkirk High School, she was employed at New York Telephone Co. until her retirement.
Peggy enjoyed "puttering" in her yard, breakfast with friends and spoiling her granddogs.
Her most special moments were spent with her daughters, whom she devoted her life to. The three of them were inseparable; shopping, doing puzzles, gardening, and traveling to places such as Savannah, Paris, Quebec and Italy.
Treasured mother and best friend of Kimberly (David) Lotter and JoLeen (Rich Norton) Kolasa, Peggy is also survived by her brother Charlie (Joann) Knowles, her dear friends Jan Privatera and Carol Privatera, and her granddogs: CuBan, Cleo, Neffie and Rammy.
Her family invites friends to share fond memories and celebrate Peggy's life Monday from 4-6 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
