The January meeting of the Chautauqua County American Legion was held recently at the Fredonia Memorial Post 59.
Various committee reports were given including one concerning the proposed changes in COLA's and disability claim forms for veterans. Help for homeless veterans was mentioned.
Pat Mleczko from the Dunkirk VA Center told about Congressman Tom Reed's Open House at the Sheridan VFW on Tuesday Jan. 21. She also told about the expansion of VA Clinic services in Dunkirk.
Mention was made about the Jr. ROTC Spaghetti dinner on Jan. 26 at Legion Post 62 beginning at noon.
The next meeting of the County Legion will be on Friday, Feb. 28 at Dunkirk Memorial Post 62.
