Fredonia residents reminded to clear snow from sidewalks
With the recent heavy amounts of snow this winter, Fredonia Mayor Stephen Keefe and Department of Public Works Supervisor Jack Boland would like to remind village homeowners that they are responsible for clearing snow off of sidewalks in front of their properties.
"The village isn't responsible for every sidewalk in the village," Keefe said. "A lot of what we're doing is a courtesy by clearing and running the snow plows down it."
Boland and Keefe would also like to remind private residents the snow in their driveways cannot be plowed, pushed and/or left in the middle of the village streets, since it is a hazard.
