Kayla J. Beatty and Gregory P. Eyer, together with their families, announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Edward H. Beatty of Dunkirk and Janie K. Hurley of Davidson, N.C., the granddaughter of Harold and Olivia Rusch and the late Edward S. Beatty and the late Mary Lou Beatty of Dunkirk, N.Y. Kayla is a 2008 graduate of Dunkirk High School and a 2012 graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa. She received a dual B.S. in chemistry and math with a minor in dance. She is employed as a project chemist for American Colors, Inc. in Sandusky, Ohio.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Karen S. Keller-Eyer and Richard L. Eyer of Lititz, Pa., and the grandson of E. Laverne Eyer and the late Katharine L. Eyer and the late W. Philip Keller and Mary T. Keller. Greg was a 2008 graduate of Manheim Central. He received a dual B.S in chemistry and in Spanish from Allegheny College. He attends the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he is pursuing his Ph.D. in chemistry.
Following their wedding, the couple plans to make their home in Madison, Wis.
