Well, it's suggested it's healthier for you to make your own by using two tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa, one tablespoon of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. This will lower your high blood pressure and it's cheaper.
Later today I'm going to go grocery shopping. Here are some good hints to follow on those days. 1.) Never go shopping on an empty stomach. You will overspend. 2.) Be sure to make a shopping list. Random buying will cost you unnecessary spending. Be sure to include a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Be sure to take the skin off and fat from your chicken before you cook it.
When you're eating, don't take your normal portions. Take less and don't go for seconds. Also, if you're in the habit of picking before you go to bed, try going to bed earlier. When you're contemplating eating, look at the food and ask yourself, "will that look better on me or where it is?" Don't forget - you have choices.
Now we're going to talk about exercising. Don't forget - exercising will not only make you look better, it will make you feel better. It also relieves stress. Try this. Sit up straight for 3-5 minutes, count to 6 breathing in, then count to 6 breathing out. It's easy and it's good for you.
Did you know that exercise reduces the risk of cancer? And walking is a great exercise. Here's a program for 5 weeks. On the first week, take four fifteen minute walks. On the second week, take four fifteen minute walks plus one 25 or 30 minute walk. On the third week, take three 25 minute walks and two 35 minute walks. On the fourth week, do three 30 minute brisk walks plus two 45 minute walks at moderate pace. On week 5, do three 30 minute walks at a moderate to brisk pace plus a 60 minute walk at a moderate pace. This should be easy for all ages.
Now they have found out that dancing is healthful for everybody. It is good exercise and you can waltz, jitterbug, or even square dance. Take your pick. It not only reduces your weight, it relieves depression. You know depression can cause obesity.
Now what are some the things you can do to rid yourself of depression? Don't stay alone. Get involved. It could be work or social. You have family, friends, church, etc. Anything to get your mind off yourself. Do things for others and like yourself. Don't forget - you have the power of choice! Choose to like yourself.
I recommend you do something different with your hair and your makeup. That's why we had a beauty salon with a cosmetic studio. Think about this: if you look good, you feel better. If you feel better, you act better. If you act better, people will react better and you will be happier. That's why I loved having the beauty salon. I just gave my last permanent a couple months ago. My hands cramp now. But I enjoyed it to the end. It was very rewarding. Apply this philosophy to your life. It's a good investment.
