Gifts of Love and Hope

Gifts of Love and Hope, a local organization which raises money in support of Carly's Club for Kids & Cancer Research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, has awarded prizes that were won during a recent fundraising raffle. Jamie Thompson of Rochester won an Xbox 360 while SUNY Fredonia student Hanna Vergo won a Playstation 3. The prizes were generously donated by Fredonia Walmart. Gifts of Love and Hope conducts fundraisers and events throughout the year and in 2013, raised $10,722 which will go toward purchasing Christmas gifts for children with cancer. The organization will hold its 2014 fundraising kickoff event on April 5 at the Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Pictured left to right are: Coordinator for Gifts of Love and Hope Rick Kozlowski, prize winner Hanna Vergo, prize winner Jamie Thompson, and Fredonia Walmart manager Brad Balentine.
