BUFFALO - Sarah K. Ranni, an attorney with Phillips Lytle LLP, one of the region's best known law firms, has been promoted to special counsel.
Ranni focuses her practice on the variety of legal issues impacting employee benefit plans. She counsels employers regarding the design, documentation and administration of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans and executive compensation plans, including the compliance of such plans with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, and the unique tax rules that apply to non-profit organizations.
She also advises clients regarding employee benefit matters that arise during mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
She received her J.D. from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law and her B.A. from Fordham University. Ranni was named an Upstate New York Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2013.
Ranni is a member of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York, WNY Chapter and the SUNY Buffalo Law Alumni Association, and serves on the board of directors of the Fordham Club of Buffalo.
