GOWANDA - James R. "Jamie" Freeman, age 19, of Johnson Street, Gowanda, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 3, 2014.
Born in Springville, NY, on Sept. 21, 1994, he was the son of Raymond and Paula (Pearson) Freeman.
Besides his parents, Jamie is survived by two brothers, Charles (Nicole Twoguns) Smith and Nicholas Smith, both of Gowanda, along with a sister Linnea (Matthew Meyer) Freeman of East Eden; his paternal grandparents Richard (Diane) Freeman of Gowanda and Mary Sullivan, also of Gowanda; Uncle Ricky Freeman of Gowanda and aunts Cathy Hamlet of Westfield, Diane (Chris) Welka of Irving and Lenette (Wayne) Wdowiasz of Silver Creek. He is also survived by a maternal uncle, Stephen (Dee Dee) Pearson of Connecticut; two nephews, Zackery and Kaleb Smith; and two nieces, Raelin and Charleigh Smith.
Jamie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Chuck and Barb Pearson; and a maternal uncle, Christopher Pearson.
Friends may call at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME, 44 Center St., Gowanda, (716)-532-4200 to-day, Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held Monday, April 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. Rev. Donna K. Lewis will officiate. Interment in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
