Fredonia State defender Katie Kleine is the SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week.
Kleine, who has junior playing eligibility, was instrumental in leading the Blue Devils to their seventh and eighth wins of the season last week. Her seven assists, eight ground balls, and five caused turnovers in a 15-8 win over Elmira were all-season highs. She followed that with season-highs in goals (six) and points (10) in a 17-5 victory over New Paltz.
She totaled eight goals and 11 assists, caused seven turnovers and took six draw controls in the two games.

It was the second straight week a Blue Devil has won the award. Marissa Cussins was last week's winner.
It was also the second straight week the Blue Devils received votes in the NCAA Division III poll. The rankings were released Monday afternoon by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
In addition to Fredonia State, five other SUNYAC schools are IWLCA poll vote-getters this week. The quintet is led by Cortland, ranked at No. 2 again this week. Also ranked are Geneseo at No. 9, Brockport at No. 18, Oneonta at No. 20, with Buffalo State - like Fredonia State - listed among the teams "also receiving votes."
The Blue Devils have all five of those teams still on the schedule, starting today at Geneseo.
