Accident sends teen to hospital

A one-vehicle accident sent a teen to the hospital Tuesday evening in the town of Pomfret. New York State Police, the Fredonia Fire Department and Alstar Ambulance responded to the crash on Webster Road near Farel Road shortly after 9 p.m. According to police, a 17-year-old female lost control of her vehicle for an unknown reason resulting in the vehicle coming to a rest in a ditch. The female was taken to the hospital with apparent minor injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Police did not release the victim's name Tuesday.
