Pair charged after
driving on closed road
HANOVER - Two Buffalo residents have been charged after allegedly driving down a closed road.
According to the Chau-tauqua County Sheriff's Office, deputies observed Ronald A. Shane, 46, exit a vehicle and remove two road closed barriers that were placed on Hanover Road. The road has been closed due to a large sinkhole. The driver of the vehicle, Susan R. Clarke, 43, then allegedly drove her vehicle through the section of roadway that was closed.
Shane was charged with second-degree criminal nuisance for removing the barricades and Clarke was charged with disobeying a traffic control device. Both were released to appear in Hanover Town Court.

Troopers observed Frankson driving his motorcycle with no hands and swerving on the roadway.
Frankson was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and transported to Jamestown State Police for processing where a blood alcohol level of .16 percent was obtained.
Due to previous convictions and a revoked license, he was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanor operating out of the interlock restriction and the violation of operating with hands not on the handlebars.
Troopers tried to interview Swanson relative to a complaint of a man driving on Poland Center Road and yelling at residents.
Swanson was located at his residence where he menaced a trooper with a billy club upon answering the door. Swanson was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown State Police where he was processed with a blood alcohol level of .26 percent.
He was charged with felony menacing a police officer, felony driving while intoxicated, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned in the town of Ellicott Court and committed to Chautauqua County Jail.

POLAND - Amanda Costanzo, 19, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault on Sunday. Deputies took a report of an alleged incident that occurred on Doloff Road around 1 a.m. An investigation led to the charges against Costanzo.
