Carolyn C. LoGuidice, 93, of Fredonia died Monday morning (April 28, 2014) at home.
She was born Dec. 14, 1920 in Fredonia, NY the daughter of the late Vincent "James" and Matilda (Conti) Castellana.
A lifelong resident of Fredonia, Carolyn was a former employee of Fredonia Hardware, Fredonia State University and owner/operator of the Campus Beauty Shoppe.
She was a parishioner of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church and its Women's Guild, and a founding board member of Share and Care of Fredonia.
Survivors include two children, Donald J. LoGuidice of Fredonia and Diane C. (David) Highland of Monument, Colo.; four grandchildren, Kevin J. (Kimberly) LoGuidice of North Carolina, Amanda B. (Dan) Bartel of Florida, Michael T. Highland of Montana and Clare T. Highland of Minnesota; three great-grandchildren, Piper and Tristen LoGuidice and Ethan Bartel; two sisters, Frances Fote of Michigan and Marian Conti of Fredonia; one brother, Anthony "Hoppy" Castle of New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. LoGuidice; one brother, Alfred Castle of Rochester, NY and one sister, Mamie Bucolo of Fredonia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass which will be celebrated by Father Joseph Zalacca on Monday morning, May 5 at 10 o'clock in St. Anthony's Church. Calling hours will be held Saturday, May 3, from 2-6 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mary's Pence, Chautauqua County Hospice, or the charity of your choice.
