Charles Willson Crofoot, 55, of Fredonia died Tuesday evening (April 29, 2014) at the Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born July 17, 1958 in Dunkirk, the son of Willson and Charlotte M. (Finland) Crofoot.
A lifelong Fredonia resident, Mr. Crofoot was a graduate of Fredonia High School, Class of 1976. He served as an electrician in the U.S. Air Force from 1976-1984 for which he was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal and Air Force Good Conduct Medal.
He had been employed as a truck driver for Relco Corp. in Buffalo.
Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Julie (Rex) Blaine of Colorado, Peggy (Frank) Weatherell of Lockport and Tammy (Joseph) Laurito of Springville; and one nephew, Russell Laurito.
Memorial services will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Deacon Matthew Hens will officiate. There will be no prior calling hours. Burial will be in Willowbrook Park Cemetery.
