In April 1976, three DHS math students outscored 423 students from 43 schools in a tri-state math contest at Edinboro (Pa.) College. A trophy was presented to the school and prizes to the students. Chris Thue received a $100 calculator and $25 in cash, Thomas Moch, a $100 calculator and Ashwini Sehgal a copy of "CRC?Standard Math Tables."
