STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED IN GOWANDA

May 13, 2014
Observer Today
Heavy rains and thunderstorms have led to a state of emergency declaration in the village of Gowanda.

Officials are closing roads in the village as two creeks in the village have apparently run over their banks, according to WGRZ-TV. Route 39 in the village is reportedly under water in some areas and has been closed. Above is a graphic from the National Weather Service regarding the rise of the Cattaraugus Creek at Gowanda this morning.
