SILVER CREEK - Silver Creek (5-1) won a pair of CCAA Division II girls track and field meets Tuesday, 90-51, over Westfield and 85-56 over Frewsburg.
In the meet against Westfield, Hannah Seiders won three events, including the 100-meter hurdles (16.5 seconds), 400 hurdles (1:07.9) and the 200 (29 seconds). Also for the Black Knights, Kelsey Orr won the shot put with her throw of 24-feet-10-inches and the discus (84-5). Emma Seiders took first in the 1,500 in a time of 5:24. Emily Harford was first in the pole vault for Silver Creek, with a height of 9-feet and Kalee Dexter took the top spot in the long jump at 13-7 and the high jump (4-4).
For Westfield, Maddison Knap won both the 100 (13.6 seconds) and the 800 (2:28.7) while Brenna Culbreth won the 400 (1:03.7) and the triple jump (31-2).
In the meet against Frewsburg, Seiders again won the 400 and the 200 while Harford was first in the 100 (13.8 seconds) and the pole vault.
For the Bears, Morgan Scarpino won three events, the long jump (15-feet), the high jump (4-8) and the triple jump (31-feet) while Mackenzie Schwartzman won the 1,500 (5:23.9) and the 800 (2:35.4).
As for the boys, Caleb Makuch was a double winner in leading the Silver Creek Black Knights past the Westfield Wolverines, 108-32.
Makuch won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.3 and he also won the 400 hurdles at 58.6.
For Westfield, Chris Cockram won three events as he won the 100 (11.9), long jump (20-feet-3 inches) and triple jump (39-2).
Also for Westfield, Jacob Gray won the high jump with a leap of 5-2 and the discus with a throw of 99-8.
Silver Creek also took down Frewsburg, 91-5-46.5.
Once again, Makuch led the way with a double-win performance in both the 110 hurdles and 400 hurdles.
