Mary E. Sullivan Wasmund, 83, of Dunkirk died Friday (June 13, 2014) at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.
She was born April 20, 1931 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Edward Mulville and Margaret "Marney" (Hayes) Mulville Lehan.
A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Mrs. Wasmund had been employed at the former Ludlum's Variety and Christmas stores.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and the American Legion Post 62 Auxiliary.
Survivors include her aunt, Carmelita Lugen of Dunkirk; and nieces and nephews, Lisa (Richard) Cieslewicz of Dunkirk, John Mulville of Ashtabula, Ohio, Michael (Gayle) Mulville of Bartow, Florida, Matthew H. Mulville of Williamsville, Mark (Giana) Mulville of Orchard Park, Martha (Kenneth) Schmitt of Goffstown, N.H., and Cheryl (James) Glapa of Fredonia. Also survived by cousins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wasmund; and two brothers, Edward "Scrappy" Mulville and William "Hoppy" Mulville.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass which will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
