Olde Time Fiddle Day to be held Saturday at Fredonia Farmers’ Market

June 20, 2014
Observer Today

The Fredonia Farmers' Market will host an Olde Time Fiddle Day on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Local fiddle players Kathleen Peterson, Ed Fraser and his family, Dick and Carmen Gilman, Kerry Askin, and Cheryl Ritch will bring Church Street to life with square and contradance tunes, waltzes, jigs & reels and songs. Featured instruments will include fiddles, guitar, banjo, cello and maybe hammered dulcimer. Market patrons can enjoy the music while munching on free pancakes provided by Degolier's Maple Products, peruse the many food, craft, and nursery plant options available at the market, or have an old fashioned photograph taken by Olde Tyme Photos.
