SINCLAIRVILLE - Kick-off and registration for the Sinclairville Free Library's Summer Reading Program will be held today from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The library is participating in the New York State Collaborative Summer Reading Program with the theme of "Fizz Boom Read!"
During the kick-off event, activity stations will introduce children to the fun science concepts including those involved in static electricity and volcanoes. This family event is free and refreshments will be served.

The Summer Reading Program for children ages 3 through grade 6 will meet on Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. from July 10 through August 14. New this year is the Family Summer Reading Program with special programs planned on certain Monday evenings at 5:30 p.m.. Some of the special topics include solar pizza, stepping stones and birdhouses.
Returning from previous years is the Adult Summer Reading Program for those ages 14 and up. Sign up for these programs at the library to obtain schedules and reading logs to keep track of books read for the program.
Other special events include a concert with Nan Hoffman on Wednesday, July 16 at 2:30 p.m. and the Omnipresent Puppet Theater on Monday, Aug. 11 at 6:30 p.m. For additional information, call the library at 962-5885 or visit the website at www.cclslib.org/sinclairville.
