CIAO board of directors met recently at Margaret Valone's home to finalize plans for the annual meeting and picnic on July 19 at the lower pavilion, Russell Joy Park at noon.
Members are asked to bring a dish to pass, their own place settings and any beverage other than coffee and bottled water. There will be limited bottles of ice tea and soda. Call Sam Crisanti, 934-2592, Vince DeJohn, 934-3339 or Nance Ortolano 673-9177 by July 11. Cost of the picnic is $5 for members $8 for non members. Annual dues can be mailed to CIAO, PO Box 483, Fredonia NY 14063 before the picnic or paid at picnic. An individual membership is $10, couple $15 and family $20.
To thank members for attending, each member will receive a free door prize ticket for a lovely gift basket; other baskets will be available with ticket purchase as well as 50/50 tickets.
Members who cannot receive LaParola electronically will be able to pick up a copy at the picnic. A copy will be mailed to those unable to attend.
The following meeting will be held on September 2, at 7 p.m. at Valone's home. On the agenda for that meeting will be a Dutch treat luncheon for all members during the month of September and the Columbus Day Harvest Dinner on Oct. 14 A cooking class is being scheduled for fall but the date and time are not definite at this time.
