"equipped" has nothing to do with equipment, city has everything it needs to get the job done, with the one "glaring" exception, LEADERSHIP but that is the reoccurring thread that runs through city goverment

The "job" they are doing, and I use that term loosely, is pathetic. It's been snowing all day long, and we haven't had a plow down our street since yesterday. There is no excuse for that at all. Absolutely ridiculous!!
I don't think the city is equipped to handle this volume of snow. Maybe we should consider hiring private contractors to handle side streets during periods of extreme snow fall. I'm nor sure who is responsible for plowing Central Ave. but at 1:00 PM today conditions were ridiculous.
Go to a council meeting, and you will find that the 3 minutes allowed at the beginning of meeting is only for topics on the meeting agenda, that is unless you are "favored" by council-person-at large, don't believe it, ask the last councilman at large, and when people suggest going to city hall with concerns/complaints, all we can do is roll our collective eyes

There was a time in this city the mayor had a "open door policy", now you have to have a appointment to speak to "His Highness"

This city is only run one way when it comes to road/street repair and maintenance, that is Teflon Tony's approach, let "union" call the shot's then make "excuses" for it later.... "unions run government in this city not the reverse...... your welcome

add to that Plow drivers" either don't have the common sense or curiosity to lift their plow blades so not to plow in "areas" already shoveled out"
apparently, you are not aware or ignore the fact "that a pickle will never become a cucumber again" if so you would realize that going to the mayor to solve any matters that involve city run by union's is as useful as tits on a bull .....your welcome

we always take "exception" to being paternalized ....YOUR WELCOME
Apparently, the plow drivers and their families are on this board. Either that, or the expectations in this community are seriously low. How anyone can believe that waiting 7+ hours for a plow in the city is acceptable is beyond me. I think the poll results are far more accurate than those commenting. Anything short of a "good" vote in this type of poll is a failure and, at this moment, more than 3/4 of those voting agree that the city failed.

Poor l'il rumplemintz. If it took you all day to come back with that one... you'd better keep working it.
Ah, young grasshopper, now you know the reason for my put downs. Quit complaining just to complain. If it's that bad go to the mayor's office and provide a thoughtful approach.
we considered making rude tasteless comments about the others in your world, but they have enough cross's to bear, better known to them as "you"

After taking your wife out for a drink, she said I could do anything I wanted... speaking on your behalf isn't the only thing I did.
Stanislaus, you wrote "your negativity is noting anyone wants to hear" when did you become the spokesperson for all commenter's, were you elected or self appointed, were confused we though ever one has the capability/ right to think/speak for themselves

We never saw a plow until after 9PM last night. There's no excuse for being that far behind when this was predicted. We had so many cars stuck that we cleared almost the entire street by hand to get all the residents back to their homes. It took 4 hours. Frankly, anyone who isn't complaining today must have had an early plow. The rest of us received terrible service. In fact, that was the last plow we've seen and now have about 3" or so in the street again. If they were proactive and kept ahead of the snow, there wouldn't have been so many cars in their way at the height of the storm. Poor planning = poor execution.

in the voicing of public opinion you can be assured that there will never be a 100% approval rating as long as we are around..... your welcome
we just looked at current poll results only 25% rated it good less then half of those who though poor, yet we taken to task over our view, we may be the "descending" voice, but we still are a voice, and we would have it no other way.....your welcome
