I drive only Toyotas built in America
i was able to stay in all day so i didnt worry about my battery. but it is new and i do have a battery charger just in case. was more concerned about the anti freeze being strong enough.
Stang is right, all the AZ batteries as well as Advance,Sears, etc are made by Johnson Controls and are of high quality. Batteries that have a buildup of grease, oil etc on the terminals bleed that way as well. Another thing is that some people will buy batteries based on price and not what the required CA /CCA is for their vehicle.

czychrab, four batteries in three years? How long did your factory battery last? I know nobody does but you may have a problem with your cars such as a parasitic drain. Have a mechanic check it. AutoZone's batteries are made by Johnson Controls who make some of the best batteries in the world. I supervised an aircraft battery shop for quite a number of years. If that tow truck driver is building car batteries, he's using old Nicad cells which we used to sell to civilians when they failed aircraft standards. BTW, automobile batteries still contain lead; that's why their price has gone up so high.
Stiener, lol , that was a good one. :-)

i take the bus. they weren't running today so i walked where i had to go.
YES...I couldn't get the key in the ignition from the bed.
My answer was no. localresident, hang on to that battery. Talked to a tow-truck driver last summer who used to build car batteries. He said both the heat and cold will wear down a battery these days because the lead walls are gone. Auto Zone has given me 4 batteries in 3 years because they know the batteries are faulty. But I'm stuck until I can pick up the new one, no fun.

Time Magazine, as with most of the major media, sticks it head out the door to determine which way the winds of political correctness are blowing, and adjusts its opinions accordingly.

Dusty, it's a bit late now, but one way to prevent that in the future is to leave faucets on a trickle to keep water moving in the pipes. Good luck with your thawing.
It's not a Hot Air Balloon. It's a UFO. Seriously, the battery in my car is 10 years old, and this might be what finally does it in.
Time Magazine Goes Both Ways On The Polar Vortex: ‘In 1974, Time Mag blamed the cold polar vortex on global cooling’ — In 2014: ‘Time Magazine blames the cold polar vortex on global warming’
Buy American, I'll call a tow truck for you!
