FredoniaFred, it actually does help with steering.. because you have 4 wheels independently rotating. But either way I know what you were getting at.. can't barrel along in an SUV on snow-covered roads and think you're invincible - stopping quickly with no grip is a factor of momentum, and SUV's have a lot more of it than the little go-carts people drive around here.

Have 4 snow tires and a new battery for your car and you will avoid most cold weather problems. Also 4 wheel drive only helps you go, it doesn't steer or stop your vehicle. Some in 4 wheel drives think they have a tank.

No I maintain my vehicles,use a good fuel additive every 3rd tank,(K100G)leave extra early and drive according to conditions not the speed limit.
