Tractor trailer rollover temporarily closes Route 60

GERRY — Route 60 from County Route 380 to Sinclair Drive was closed for approximately four hours today after a tractor-trailer rollover.

Around 5:45 a.m. Zachary Frazier, 28, of Ellington, was traveling southbound in a Chevy four-door vehicle in the town of Gerry when he crossed into the north-bound lane. Stephen Falzoi, 50, of Rochester, was operating a 2016 Freightliner tractor trailer when he tried to swerve out of the way, but struck Frazier’s vehicle. The tractor trailer rolled over, blocking both lanes of traffic.

Frazier suffered from a broken leg, and was taken to WCA Hospital for his injuries. According to New York State Police Captain Eric Balon, “Frazier told my trooper that he fell asleep (at the wheel.)

Frazier was given a traffic ticket for failure to keep right.

Route 60 was re-opened shortly after 10 a.m.
