‘No Kings March’ Saturday

The Chautauqua Action Team is holding a “No Kings March” on Saturday, April 19, at 11 a.m. The march will go down Central Avenue, Dunkirk. The march is a 250th anniversary of the American Revolution to embrace U.S. Democracy and reject oligarchy.

The march will be accompanied by bagpipes and drums. The march will begin at D&F Plaza. The march will pass Lucas Avenue, Brooks Hospital, and conclude at the Dunkirk pier. The public is welcome to join at any of those locations. The entire march is 2.7 miles. Water and snacks will be provided at each station.

SOAR Chapter to meet April 22

SOAR Chapter 4-1 will meet Tuesday, April 22 at the USW Local 2693 Union Hall on Fourth Street in Dunkirk. The meeting will be at noon with lunch to follow. All SOAR members and retirees are invited to attend. For further information call 716-366-1485.

Hanover fire merger meeting April 23

HANOVER – The Hanover Town Board and the Silver Creek Village Board will hold a joint meeting on Wednesday, April 23 at 7 p.m. to discuss matters pertaining to the formation of a joint fire district consisting of the Silver Creek Fire Department and the Sunset Bay Fire Department. Any further action on the part of said boards may be authorized. The meeting will be held at the Hanover Town Hall and is open to the public.
