CLCS announces valedictorian, salutatorian

MAYVILLE — Chautauqua Lake Central School has announced its valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2020.

Naomi Fisher is this year’s valedictorian. She is the daughter of Sara and Martin Fisher of Ripley. She will be graduating with an Advanced Regents with Honors and Math and Science Endorsement Diploma. Naomi is President of the Class of 2020, Vice President of the National Honor Society, and member of Student Administration. She was named JCC Student of the Year as a junior and participated in NYS Empire Girls State and the HOBY Youth Leadership Conference. Naomi also attended the First Amendment First Vote conferences, from which she helped create Kids Campaign to mentor the younger students and increase Civic Engagement. Naomi has enjoyed participating in Varsity Girls Tennis and numerous clubs at CLCS. After graduation, Naomi is planning to attend Georgetown University where she will major in Biology on the Pre-med track.

Peyton D’Anthony is this year’s salutatorian. She is the daughter of Rob and Jodie D’Anthony of Ripley. She will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors, as well as a Science Endorsement. Peyton has been named Rotary Scholar of the Month, has been a member of various organizations such as National Honors Society, Student Administration, and Language Club, holding leadership positions in all of them, including varsity Girl’s Soccer. After graduation, Peyton is planning to attend Rochester Institute of Technology to double-major in Spanish and International and Global Studies.
