Flea market this weekend at Sheridan VFW
SHERIDAN — The last flea market of the season will be at the VFW Memorial Post, 2556 Route 20. The hours are 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The VFW again will be offering two free fish dinners. Come and shop at the flea market and fill out a ticket. No purchase is necessary for the free dinners.
This market will be the last chance for the “Spring Fling” 50-50, which started at the January market. The winner will be drawn Saturday at 2 pm. Half of the money will support the Veterans and half will be awarded to one lucky winner.
One ticket is $2 and three tickets are $5. You do not have to be present to win either drawing.
In addition to the flea market and Friday night fish fry, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary will be offering a bake sale on Friday evening along with a basket raffle. Their sweet perfections always sell out, so shop early. A scrumptious homemade breakfast and lunch will be Saturday. The grilled cheese is so big, rich and gooey and goes perfectly with the homemade soup! Breakfast menu includes breakfast sandwiches on homemade biscuits, fresh brewed coffee. Lunch includes homemade soup of the week, pizza and wings
The VFW offers a full service bar for a variety of beverages. The VFW is always busy during lent, so reservations are recommended. Patrons may dine in or take out. Please come for a delicious fish fry, top off dinner with a sweet treat from the bake sale and shop for great merchandise.
This month will feature Easter decor, jewelry, coins, Native American items, beautiful glassware and for you guys, knives, military items and lots of rusty old stuff. There will be everything from new to old. So recycle, reuse and go green.
