Rustic Ramblers to perform on floating stage
Rambling to Cassadaga
CASSADAGA — On Sunday, Aug. 25, from 5-7 p.m., the Rustic Ramblers will be performing on Cassadaga’s Floating Stage.
The Rustic Ramblers is a group of musicians who joined together in 2004. They perform and truly appreciate the traditional country music that America has always loved. Jim (Frito) Lanphere, from Portland, performs on bass guitar and vocals. Dave Bailey, from Hartfield, performs on drums and vocals. Gene Hilts, from West Valley, plays the beautiful peddle steel guitar and Howard Buck, from Fredonia, is the lead vocalist and plays lead guitar. Gene Hilts and “Frito” Lanphere have each backed up and opened for traditional country music stars in Buffalo, and Nashville, Tennessee. Rustic Ramblers will take you down a lane of wonderful traditional and classic country music that you won’t want to miss.
Cassadaga’s Floating Stage is located on Park Ave. in Cassadaga. There is a beautiful beach with picnic tables, playground and wonderful shade trees. Lifeguards will be on duty. The live music, historic gazebo and lake back drop makes this concert venue a true slice of Americana. Stanfield’s Hotdogs and Lemonade will be there or bring your own food and drink. Come by boat or bring a chair or blanket. Extra parking is available at the Fire Hall on Mill St, the Cassadaga Library on Maple Ave. or at either corner of Maple and Route 60 (all short walks away). If you are physically able, please leave the prime beach parking for who can’t do the walk.
This concert is sponsored by the Village of Cassadaga. In case of inclement weather, this concert will be held at the American Legion Post 1280 or the Community Building on 22 Mill St.
