Astro Galaxy Sound plays Point Gratiot
The City of Dunkirk’s Music at the Point Sunset Concert Series will host Astro Galaxy Sound this Wednesday, July 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Point Gratiot. The event is sponsored by STEL.
Astro Galaxy Sound music includes part classic rock, part southern rock, part funk, country, rhythm & blues and even some big band music makes for an eclectic, full bodied sound. The band has witty stage antics and costume changes. Although this band is new to the scene, there is many years of experience in music between the members of this multi-talented partnership.
The guitar virtuoso John Crassidis sets the stage with blazing speed and incredible technical ability that paves the way for the euphonious vocal and guitar stylings of Greg Pavlot. Scott Pavlot keeps the groove going with melodic and defining and sometimes thunderous bass grooves which is complimented by the equally thunderous yet syncopated bombast of drummer Jon Askey, who also takes his turn at vocals. Blend all this together with a high priority towards musical excellence and an outlandish stage performance and theatrics gives the music lover a pleasing experience to both the eye and ear.
Visitors are reminded to bring a chair, snacks and refreshments and enjoy the sunsets and music at Point Gratiot.
