JAMESTOWN – She Sings: Surviving the Narcissist, is a five-part documentary series that explores one woman’s courageous journey to escape the grips of physical, mental, and financial abuse. The series sheds light on the often-overlooked struggles faced by millions of women, to cultivate inner strength, and reclaim their voices.

The documentary delves into navigating toxic relationships, and is not only a personal account of transformation, but also a reminder of the resilience required to break free from abuse.

Created by Rebecca Magnuson — a singer-songwriter, composer, playwright, and pianist — the documentary is part of the larger She Sings series.

She Sings is a one-woman musical starring Magnuson, was performed in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Nashville, and off-broadway. Magnuson has scheduled a 7 p.m. Saturday performance at the Robert H. Jackson Center, 305 E. Fourth St.

When she’s not performing, Magnuson can be found at She Sings Cafe, Restaurant and Bar, 95 W. Lake Road, Mayville. At the cafe, there is a welcoming space where music, storytelling, and great food come together.

As part of Magnuson’s commitment to supporting women in need, a portion of the proceeds from the performance will be donated to She Is Safe of Chautauqua County, an initiative dedicated to providing a safe house and resources for women escaping abusive situations.
