SILVER CREEK — Anderson-Lee Library, located at 43 Main St. has announced programming for the month of April. Programs are free and open to the public.

Registration is required unless stated otherwise, to ensure enough seating and materials for all patrons attending the program. You can also sign up for email/text reminders when you register online!

— Mini Library Tins for ages 18 and older, Tuesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. Celebrate National Library Week with us by creating a personal mini library using an Altoids tin and a selection of miniature items. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

— Lego Club for ages 5-12, Thursday, April 10 at 6:30 p.m. Build the challenge of the day, pick a challenge card or free build. Your choice! Limit of 10 children and pre-registration is required.

— Beverly Cleary Birthday Party, Saturday, April 12 at 11 a.m. Our celebration of National Library Week concludes on Beverly Cleary’s 109th birthday with stories, crafts, games, 109 seconds of D.E.A.R (Drop Everything And Read), and of course cupcakes! All ages are welcome and pre-registration is requested.

Join us during school vacation for the following events:

— Spring Baby Animals, Monday, April 14 at 1 p.m. Come visit the baby animals of Sun-Dance-Kids Farm. Always a popular event! Please pre-register to attend.

— Drop in Lego Club: Tuesday, April 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. All ages are invited to drop in during the stated hours to create with our Lego collection. No registration necessary.

— Pajama Storytime: Tuesday, April 15 at 6 p.m. All ages are invited to join us! Wear your favorite jammies, bring your favorite stuffy to cuddle, and settle in for stories and a craft. Please register in advance of this program.

— Preschool Storytime for children ages 2-5 on Thursday mornings April 10 and 24 with Miss Jill at 10:30 am. Children will participate in reading, singing, rhymes and fun crafts. Pre-registration is requested.

— School Age Storytime for children 6-12 years of age on Thursday mornings April 10 and 24 at 10:30 am with Miss Amy. Stories, crafts, games, and other activities are offered. Pre-registration is requested.

— The Secret Society of the Twisted Stitchers: Fridays from 2-4pm. This club is for all who love handiwork. Ages 10 and older and all skill levels are welcome! Please bring your own supplies. Just getting started? For knitting, bring size 10/10.5 bamboo needles and a light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). For crochet, bring a size H hook and light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). Come and learn or come and work on a project with others who love to knit, crochet, embroider, quilt etc.! No registration required. You do not need to commit to each week to attend. Please stop in and stitch!

Anderson-Lee Library is open to the public Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library is closed Wednesday and Sunday.
