Part one of a three-part trilogy, “Beware the Dark,” a sci-fi, mystery, thriller, will have a New York Premiere at the Dunkirk Multiplex, located at 10520 Bennett Road, on Sunday at 1 p.m.

What’s unique about this screening is not only was it filmed with all local talent and filmed in Western New York; but anyone who attends the premiere will have an opportunity to remain after the movie to be in a scene for the sequel “Beware the Dark Part 2” that will be filmed that day.

Producer, director, and key cast Diana Lenska will follow the screening with a Q and A which will include some of the cast including the well-known SUNY professor, local filmmaker, and actor Nick Smith. Lenska is the director of several Film Festivals including the International New York Film Festival that is in its 12th year, which until 2020 was held in Times Square.

Since then, it has been held in Western New York, and for 2025 will be in June at the Dunkirk Multiplex.
