‘Last Breath’ playing at Opera House

Woody Harrelson stars in the true story-inspired “Last Breath.”

The Cinema Series continues at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center with screenings of the true story-inspired “Last Breath” on Saturday and Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

“Last Breath” is a heart-pounding film that follows seasoned deep-sea divers (Woody Harrelson, Simu Liu) as they battle the raging elements to rescue their crewmate (Finn Cole) trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface. Based on a true story, ‘Last Breath’ is an electrifying story about teamwork, resilience, and a race against time to do the impossible.

New York Magazine calls the film “a great throwback thriller, one of those movies viewers will still be discovering years from now. Try to see it on a big screen while you can.” Rated PG-13 brief strong language, “Last Breath” runs one hour, 33 minutes.

Tickets are available at the door for $7 (adults), $6.50 (seniors & Opera House members) and $5 (students) the night of each screening. The Opera House is equipped with assistive listening headsets for the hearing-impaired. Simply request one from any usher or staff member. The Opera House Cinema Series is generously sponsored by Lake Shore Savings Bank.
